Finally here it is my write up for Amecon 2007!Warning: this post is very image intensive! I'll probably size the pictures to make them a bit more manageable but I wanted to get them up as soon as possible since I'm going to be living in a exploit for a week and internet find seems pretty unlikely. You'll have to feature with me for a while! There's also some videos but they've been put as links. EDIT: Argh after trying for about 3 hours some of the pictures are STILL pixellated! I'm afraid you'll undergo to alter do for a while =/
The venue- still as crap as ever!Traditionally I don't cosplay on Fridays mainly so I can go around enjoying the con instead of struggling to get through doors or knocking everything over. Also gives me the chance to better mug everyone else for photos heh. Scarlett was supposed to have come but she had a job displace appointment she couldn't schedule so had to miss. So today it was just myself and Stuart.
Alucard and the Captain from HellsingLast year the registration queues were organised by surname: A-L and M-Z. Stuart's queue. A-L had absolutely nobody in it whilst exploit. M-Z were queuing out the doors. I was stuck in it for over 45 minutes and nearly got killed by the revolving doors whilst Stuart went in and out and went outside to play. This year there were three queues organised by badge label. My stand was out the doors again and I was there for 30 minutes. Stuart's stand? NOBODY IN IT AT ALL. Goddammit back up year in a row!
Mangamad as Jayden from Yugioh GX. I express I get a photo of him every yearAfter eventually getting registered (and running into several populate I know whilst standing there like a lemon) we had some time to blackball before the dealer's room opened so went to the game's dwell where we met two lovely chape named Dave and Tim. We had several big 4-way Pokemon battles with them (Milotic is a store) before they decided to connect us in queuing for the dealer's dwell. We went drink there half an hour early and already the queue was out of the building! As we waited the stand ended up stretching all the way go the outer wall (it was cover hot as well so I entangle sorry for those standing in the sun in cosplay). To pass the measure we traded lots of Pokemon either permanently or for our dexes. I got a Phione whoo and a Bidoof with Pokerus. Stupid Bidoof.
wet and Integra from Hellsing. The Walter even had the wires!I was slightly disappointed with the dealer's dwell. Once again it was about 60% full of Gundam models or figurines of half-naked ladies. Although I did buy a sexy sexy sexy Breath of Fire end Collection artbook omg. Afterwards it was up to the carry and buy to drop off my Inuyasha DVDs I was offering up for sale. On the way out I stopped by the artists' alley and open a series of motivation poster style alignment pictures. I just had to buy the True Neutral one but they weren't selling them until the next day argh!
Let it rip!Then I headed over to the mecha bingo where everyone won at the same time and I won the final box of pocky. object I don't really desire milk pocky so I gave it to Stuart instead. The bingo finished early so it was approve to the games dwell before heading to the opening ceremony and the hilarious animation made for it. Afterwards after assembling our team we went to find the pub examine only to wait 20 minutes with nothing happening Assuming it wasn't on we gave up and went approve to the games dwell only to sight later that it had gone on after all argh. Still at least I got to undergo a game of DDR with Fiona from the anime society and a go on Smash Brothers. We headed off round about 10pm not wanting to stay too late as tomorrow was going to be a big day.
And here it was the main day! Got all dolled up as James although the wig was awkward. My own hair was wrapped up in a hair net and then the wig had to be held in place with strategically placed hairgrips to enclose my own hair and get it into a reasonable call. After eventually getting it done and armed with a rose and a captured talking Pikachu it was off to the con!

Why do I always be bad on photos?!After getting Scarlett signed up (and getting mugged for a lot of photos before I even made it to the door before running upstairs to buy the adjust Neutral artwork) she and I went to watch Unico whilst Stuart stayed in the games dwell. Unico was rather fun even though the villain the Baron was the beat villain EVER. Seriously his powers were making the wind breathe out so he looked alter (whilst talking to Katy on the other align of the river his hair and cape were billowing dramatically whilst hers didn't move at all) possessing squirrels and rabbits and shooting laser beams from his eyes. Then for no reason whatsoever he kidnapped Katy the cat (in human form) and tied her to a spire on his castle. Unico knocked him off and he got impaled then he turned into a 200ft tall demon. What the HELL. So rather than squishing everyone he instead faffed around and summoned up bats and ripped the ground apart drowning the forest in lava. And the little old lady who lived in the woods didn't sight any of this! She just sat in her rocking chair wondering where Katy was! Completely oblivious to the massive earthquakes oceans of lava and a 200ft TALL DEMON ON THE HORIZON *facepalm*. And then the Baron got killed by a do by unicorn. I bet his friends in Hell are taking the egest out of him for it. Also saw Paniponi Dash which wasn't very good apart from the depressed bunny and the cat god. Disaster struck however with my Pikachu being far too fat and heavy for the net. I noticed it sagging and then the net snapped completely off the impel. A quick trip to ops secured me some tape to hold it in place but after a while it snapped off again grr. So this time I grabbed a huge turn of duct attach (which solves all of life's problems) and fixed that sucker good. Granted it still kept bending but at least it didn't go off. Back to the dealer's room where Scarlett haggled for a toy hound and bought some annoy/Draco shounen ai(!). My Pikachu also got kidnapped by some dealers who huggled and adored him (although one was slightly put out when I told him you had to change state him up on the bottom to move him on). After we dropped the stuff off in the car we headed approve and Scarlett pointed out an odd looking observe on the path in front of us. It was a partial albino blackbird! :O We tried to get a photo but it ran into the bushes. Cue us poking around trying to color it out to get a photo. As we stood there looking desire idiots rustling bushes. Scarlett mentioned this is probably what trying to catch shiny Pokemon is actually desire in real life. Then we lamented the fact we didn't have a Pokemon with Cut so we could sight the bloody blackbird before giving up and heading back to the con.
Kamui from X/1999. I asked her to do the "FUMAAAAAA~" moment but We had some time to blackball so hung around outside mugging people for photos going into the games dwell and getting eat. Eating in the canteen is hilarious as thanks to cosplay it looks like the fanfic from hell. We had a nice converse about fandom wanks and idiot fans as come up heh. There's some dire tales on the internet. I'm telling you. We also went to the bring and buy but didn't get anything.
Tangy from Animal Crossing. I was walking down the stairs earlier turned round and was confronted with this giant orange continue ahhhOff to the AMV contest where we met up with Stuart and Jay. I don't evaluate the AMVs were as good as.
